St. Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur added one more bead to its chain of academic programmes. Dr.Nitin Malik, the Joint Registrar of GGS Indraprasth University from New Delhi was the expert of the seminar organized on 29th November 2019 in AVA room in our college. The other dignitaries like Dr.R.Mishra (Dept. Of Phy.Ed),Govt.College, Mahasamund and Mr.Kishore Bhandari from BSP were also present on the occasion. The program began with the formal welcome of the dignitaries by the Principal-Dr.Kuldeep Dubey, Vice-principal-Dr.G.Padma Gouri and the Asst. Administrator- Fr.Julius Xess presenting the floral bouquet. Soon after the welcome, the eminent speaker, Dr. Nitin Malik began his address with the opening note of his Homecoming to the city, where he had served for 11 years at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur as Lecturer in anthropology. Having appreciated and wishing good luck to the college for entering into the third cycle of NAAC, he insisted on talking to the students preferably on employability termed to be a million dollar question. Therefore he discussed through the PPT on “Manthan: Employability to Education.” At the outset, it was suggested for the essential requirement of self perception. Instead of structured way of learning, the stress was on 13 skills development including adaptive nature. The three tier combination of vision, skill and education could only attribute to career. He enumerated the relevance of methods and ways for learners with the central message “that self help is the best help”. The students found his presentation very interesting and informative as they were informed of free online courses for learning skill; EDX being one of them. His views on teachers, their role and to keep in pace with many hats’ development were also suggestive. The program concluded by presenting the mementoes to the dignitaries.
